Jane Galloway’s creativity spans almost five decades, beginning at Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland then running a bag manufacturing business followed by a career as a landscape painter, greeting card designer, graphic print designer and lately, full circle back to her first love of abstract painting.

Jane’s paintings begin with a period of intuitive play while lightly holding an idea, memory or feeling. The shapes and tones gradually coalesce to form what becomes the final rendering overdrawn with symbols which hold personal meaning.

Jane also produces several designs each year which are reproduced as greeting cards and limited edition prints
